Eis que vou falar um pouquinho sobre a minha empresa (ou melhor o que aparece escrito sobre ela) - GENENTECH!

• FORTUNE magazine named Genentech as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" for the ninth consecutive year - This year Genentech is number two on the list. In selecting the "100 Best Companies to Work For," FORTUNE relies on two criteria: an evaluation of the policies and culture of each company, and the opinions of the company's own employees. The latter is deemed most important; two-thirds of the total score comes from employee responses to a survey created by the Great Place to Work Institute. The remaining one-third of the score comes from FORTUNE'S evaluation of each company's demographic makeup, compensation and benefits programs, and culture.

• Named No. 1 Employer by Science Magazine - In October 2006, Genentech was named by Science magazine as "the top employer and most admired company in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries." The company has placed first in each of the five years that Science has carried out this survey. The 2006 survey sought to identify the companies with the best reputations as employers based on whether they treat their employees with respect and whether their work-culture values align with employees' personal values, among other factors. The survey responses were from readers of Science and other selected respondents.

• Genentech Among Best Companies for Working Moms - On September 25, 2006, Working Mother magazine named Genentech one of the "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers." In surveying the companies for this year's list, particular weight was given to two areas: flexible scheduling, the most critical benefit for working mothers, and time off for new parents. In compiling the list, the magazine's editors assessed work/life programs including: workforce profile; compensation; child care; flexibility; time off and leaves; family-friendly programs; and company culture. This is the 14th year Genentech has appeared on the list.
